Cobricel

The project was born from a request by the Sant Feliu de Pallerols Town Council to transform the municipal sports court into a covered and functional space that can be used throughout the year. The intervention not only enhances the existing sports use, but also turns the court into a facility capable of hosting cultural activities and municipal events.

The new structure, featuring a roof of around 1,500 m², includes plans to install up to 250 kWp of photovoltaic panels, which will generate energy for several public buildings in the town. This dual purpose —climate protection and energy production— positions the project as a useful, sustainable infrastructure that serves the community.

The architecture responds to the uniqueness of the surroundings. The main façade, facing the park, is articulated with Y-shaped pillars that evoke the verticality of the trees and help integrate the roof into the landscape. On the opposite side, facing the road, the repetition of the supports creates a visual and acoustic filter that reinforces the sense of a protected enclosure.

The result is a light, efficient, and environmentally respectful structure that expands the possibilities of using public space with a minimal architectural footprint.
